Give birth with confidence.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! You have joined the host of women before you in the incredible and challenging journey of creating and bringing forth a new life.
As the reality sets in that a tiny human is growing inside of your body, the thought may linger: “At some point, I have to get this baby out of my body.”
Of course, you want birthing to be a positive experience. Giving birth is a pinnacle experience of womanhood, your rite of passage into motherhood, and a day that you will remember for the rest of your life. The day you give birth should be one of the best of your life, and it should leave you feeling powerful, confident, and ready to mother your child.
But perhaps you’re not feeling so confident just yet. Maybe this will be your first birthing experience, and you feel overwhelmed and unsure what to expect or how to start preparing. Maybe you’ve had a previous birthing experience that was traumatic, and you are anxious knowing you must face birth again before you can meet your baby. Maybe every story you have heard about birth has been characterized by pain, panic, lights, sirens, and screaming, so its hard to imagine a powerful mother bringing her baby into a peaceful and calm environment.
Yes, you were designed to give birth, but you also need to consciously prepare. If you don’t, you vastly increase your risk that the intensity of the experience will leave you feeling traumatized instead of empowered.
I’ve been where you are: with a baby inside of my body that would eventually need to come out and a lot of work to do to prepare myself to give birth. And I can personally attest that birth can be a beautifully positive experience. My job is to help you create that kind of experience for yourself.
As a certified and experienced childbirth doula, I help women prepare for and have empowering labor and birth experiences. I can help you take charge of in your birth experience, so that when those first labor contractions begin, you are ready and excited.
Together, we will make sure that you know what to expect from labor and birth. We’ll discuss your options and your preferences, teach your chosen birth partner(s) how to support and advocate for you, and, most importantly, ensure that you feel in-control and supported throughout every moment.
Here’s how we’ll make that happen:
We’ll spend time together prenatally to make sure you are informed, prepared, and practiced.
I’ll be your personal pregnancy and birth supporter, so you’ll reach out to me throughout your pregnancy with any questions and concerns that arise.
When you go into labor, I’ll show up for you, support you, and help you navigate the experience.
I am so excited for you to see your own strength and wisdom as you confidently bring your baby into the world, on your terms, upheld by your chosen supporters.

Giving Birth back to Women
Hi, I’m Kaila! I empower women to cultivate birth experiences that leave them feeling strong, capable, and in-awe of themselves.
Too many women are disappointed or even traumatized by their birthing experiences. I help women gain the confidence and support they need to take the lead decision-making role in their births, facilitating positive experiences that teaches mothers how powerful they really are.
“As the husband in the room, I very much appreciated Kaila. She was great at knowing what to do when to best help my wife and keep me involved. As a husband, I wanted to help during our first baby's birth but felt like I never knew quite what to do to be the most helpful. Having Kaila there the 2nd time was great. Loved every bit of the process and felt like her services were money well spent!”
